    ​State Historic Site in Victor, NY, the only historic site dedicated to Native American culture, is the site of a ​17th century Native American (Seneca)​ community that was ​once a flourishing, vibrant community. ​Ganondagan State Historic Site includes 569 acres, much of which is for preservation, miles of trails, a full size Seneca Bark Longhouse and the Seneca Art & Culture Center. The full size Seneca Bark Longhouse, open May 1 through October 31, allows visitors to experience traditional Seneca and Haudenosaunee life. 

          

    Open year round, Tuesday - Sunday, the 17,000 sq. ft. Seneca Art & Culture Center includes an interactive exhibit gallery, orientation theater, featuring the film, "Iroquois Creation Story" an auditorium that seats 200, and a gift shop featuring Haudenosaunee artists. 

    Event highlights include: ​Native American Dance & Music Festival, the fourth weekend in July, featuring ​traditional and contemporary music and dance, a Native American Arts Market, Native American food and children's activities, Living History event in September, Native American Winter Arts festival in December and Native American Winter Games in February. 

        

    Valentown Museum

    A historical museum located in Victor, Valentown contains thousands of artifacts, exhibits, and heirlooms that represent the local 19th century history of the Victor and Rochester area. The interior remains the same as it was when originally built with a general store, meeting room, bakery, harness shop, cobbler's shop, music school, display cases filled with early flags and military items, a Grange meeting room, railroad/trolley/telegraph office, ticket office, and a Grand Ballroom. You can find special events from June through September.
